June 27th Meeting

June 27, 2006 is our next meeting. We will be meeting at the OSU Extension Center, N.W. 10th and Portland, Oklahoma City, OK, in "Classroom B" on the east side of the center brick building. The meeting is from 7 pm until 9 pm.

Our meeting will be on the Topics "Robbing and Extracting Honey". If you have 1 or 1000 hives we will be discussing robbing the honey from the hives, how to know when to remove supers, how much honey to leave on the hive, transporting the honey to where you will be extracting and much more. We will also offer information on how to extract honey, tips and tricks, and other information on extracting. So, bring your questions and your notepads to write down answers.

As usual we will have door prizes and refreshments. If you would like to bring something for a door prize it would be GREAT. If you would like to bring a small snack that would be good also, but not mandatory. Our meetings are open to the public. Anyone who is interested in Honey Bees is encouraged to attend. If you wish to become a member the dues are $7.00 per year. But you do not have to join to attend. IT IS GREAT to see the new faces coming back for more. Hopefully everyone is learning something new each month. See you there !!!!
